He has over four decades of rich experience managing integrated large and mega projects in Metals and Mining sector with associated infrastructure, chemical and power projects, from field execution level to senior leadership levels such as President, Director CEO etc. in organisations like SAIL, SMS, JSW (Ispat), BALCO, Jindal Stainless, Hindalco, Vedanta, Welspun … to name a few including overall Unit Head managing O&M with P&L responsibility.

Many of his articles in project and other areas of management have been published in Indian and overseas journals. Mr. Ghose, who is a regular speaker in various webinars, conferences and forums held in the country and abroad, is also a author of two books in Project Management titled – ‘DECIDE – Through Op. Research Assisted Approach’ and ‘CONGERIES - A collection of key Topics in Project management’.

Mr. Ghose is a member of Association of Iron & Steel Technologists (AIST) USA, Project Management Institute (PMI) USA and a fellow of Council Of Vibration Research (CVS) India.

Prabhat also leads strategic product planning and portfolio development, including shaping Mahindra’s five-year product roadmap and investment strategy. He has been instrumental in securing significant investment approvals for next-generation commercial vehicle platforms and aligning engineering execution with market, regulatory and technology trends. In parallel, he leads a B2B aggregate business initiative with electric commercial vehicle OEMs, building new partnerships and revenue streams in the evolving mobility ecosystem.

Earlier in his career, Prabhat held leadership roles at Cummins, where he managed programs for natural gas engines and automated manual transmission technologies, enabling entry into new markets and driving major growth initiatives. He has also contributed to electric mobility development, quality transformation, and global design operations during his tenures at Mahindra Electric, Bajaj Auto and Mercedes-Benz R&D in India and Germany.

Prabhat holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, with a focus on Marketing, Operations and Manufacturing, along with a Master’s degree in Mechanical System Design from Manipal University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
